We are now recruiting an ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT to the Trade Section. The Trade Section is operating under the auspices of the Embassy of Sweden in a separate Trade Promotion Office in Kyiv, Ukraine.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to support trade and investment initiatives that enable Swedish companies to contribute to Ukraine’s development and rebuilding. The Associate Consultant will assist across various sectors, including healthcare, energy, and infrastructure. The role means working in close collaboration with senior team members and reporting to the Trade Commissioner of Sweden, Andreas Giallourakis.

Main tasks

  • Conduct market research, sales support analysis, stakeholder assessments, and operational reviews to identify opportunities for Swedish companies in Ukraine.
  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations that provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants to create business proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Support project management activities, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met, and assist in coordinating team tasks.
  • Organize and participate in business events, conferences, and networking sessions to promote Swedish companies’ interests.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates with exceptional academic records are also welcome to apply.
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in management consulting or a related field.

Terms of employment

The employment is a full-time position with 37,5 working hours per week from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be subject to a professional background check and satisfactory security clearance, with a probation period of three (3) calendar months. Staff recruited locally are subject to terms and conditions according to Ukrainian employment law and Swedish MFA guidance for local staff.
Benefits include twenty-eight vacation days, wellness grant, health insurance, the possibility to be eligible for Swedish pension after 5 years of working for the embassy and a “13th salary”. The physical office is separated from the Embassy Chancellery.
Start date will be according to agreement.
