Acceptera alla Endast nödvändigaGiven that Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania are now part of the Schengen area, if you are legally residing in one of these countries, you will, from February 24, 2025, need to turn to one of the five existing Schengen hubs instead of the Embassies in Bucharest and Zagreb. The same applies for citizens of Moldova that previously turned to the Embassy I Bucharest.
The Schengen hubs are the following Embassies:
- Athens
- Berlin
- Madrid
- Paris
- Rome
This means that if you want to apply for a residence and work permit or a Schengen visa, you can choose which of these five Embassies you want to turn to. This also means that after February 24, 2025, you can no longer submit applications at the Embassies in Bucharest or Zagreb. However, if you already have an ongoing application at one of these two Embassies, such as waiting for a residence permit card to be delivered, you will still be able to conclude your application at that Embassy.
To book an appointment or contact the Embassies, please find contact information via the link below.
