The Consulate General of Sweden is looking for a Junior promotion and communications officer to join the Section for Swedish-Turkish Cooperation

The Consulate General is situated in the Swedish Palace in Beyoğlu, an architectural and cultural heritage site built in 1870.

The Consulate General carries out a wide range of cultural and promotional activities, and communication including in social media. The Junior promotion and communications officer will support these activities, as part of the Section for Swedish-Turkish Cooperation.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the head of section for Swedish-Turkish cooperation you will work closely with the whole team at the Consulate General.

 Duties include: 

  • Assist the head of section for Swedish-Turkish cooperation regarding implementation of Sweden and trade promotion as well as communication.

  • Contribute to the implementation of projects and events from planning to follow-up and reporting of results.

  • Contribute to the creation of contacts and the collaboration with partners, companies and other relevant actors.

  • Contribute with ideas and execution of communication in social media.

  • Monitor media and make summaries of relevant events.

The assistant may also help with various administrative duties, translation, responding to general questions, etc.

Qualifications

We would expect the successful candidate to have the following qualifications:

  • Experience from working in a similar role.

  • Organized, with the ability to work independently and keep track of many tasks at the same time.

  • Good knowledge and experience of working with social media.

  • Fluent in English and Turkish in speech and writing, with strong communication skills.
  • Responsible, service-minded, positive and flexible attitude, and able to work in a multicultural environment.

General conditions

Salaries are individual and competitive. Vacation 28 days per year, SGK plus additional medical insurance.

The employment will start with a trial period.

The working week is 39 hours and 45 minutes. Hours might sometimes be longer during evening events. This is compensated with time during periods with lower workload.
