Have you or a friend recently demonstrated compassion, kindness, or thoughtfulness? Are you between 13 and 20 years old? If so, this is your chance to be selected for the Young Courage Award 2025 and attend the Award Ceremony in Stockholm on August 27th.
As a recipient of this award, you will be invited on a fully funded trip to Stockholm, where you will learn more about Raoul Wallenberg, the former Swedish diplomat internationally recognized for his civil courage and compassion. You’ll also get the opportunity to meet representatives from the Swedish government and connect with other awardees from around the world.
Send your nomination, including the nominee’s name, age, contact details and a short explanation (max 100 words) of why you or your friend should receive the award, to communication.dar-es-salaam@gov.se no later than March 31, 2025.
We want to highlight and celebrate young Tanzanians who have shown extraordinary courage, compassion, and a willingness to stand up for others or their community. Whether it’s a small act of kindness or a brave stand for what is right, your actions matter!
This initiative is a collaboration between the Swedish Embassy in Dar es Salaam, the Swedish Institute, and the Raoul Wallenberg Academy.
