A modern, humorous, artistic, and thoughtful film about the Swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf in settings we rarely otherwise see him. Over two years, the director Karin af Klintberg gets to interview him. The film consists of their meetings, intermixed with scenes from the spectacle that surrounds him. Carl Gustaf was only nine months old when his father died in an airplane crash. From then on, he was second in line to the throne after his grandfather, the then crown prince. He grows up with an obligation from which he cannot escape.
