Civil society organisations (CSOs) are invited to submit their expression of interest for partnership and funding opportunities starting 2025. The upcoming CSO strategy will reflect Sweden's commitment to supporting an independent and diverse civil society in partner countries, which contributes to sustainable development.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬:
𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞: Strengthen civil society organizations in developing countries, enhancing their capacity to create better living conditions for people living in poverty and oppression.
𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: CSOs conducting long-term development cooperation relevant to the objectives in the current Swedish strategy for development cooperation with civil society.
𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬:
- 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚: Enhance civil society’s capacity to organize around democracy, human rights, gender equality, and more.
- 𝑬𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕: Create space for an independent and pluralistic civil society, improve collaboration, and diversify financing.
