The Embassy can only require a coordination number, quivalent to a “personnummer” for children born abroad, for a child in connection to a passport application.
When you are about to travel, you can contact the embassy for an appointment in order to require a coordination number for your child and apply for an emergency passport by sending an e-mail to ambassaden.beirut@gov.se
For children under 18 years both parents must sign a consent, before a passport can be issued.
Please note that the coordination number for a child born outside Sweden can be kept only for six months if the passport application has not been submitted during this period of time.
