One year until the start of the Swedish EU Presidency in 2023

In one year Sweden will – for the third time – assume the EU Presidency to lead the work of the Council of the EU.

According to Minister for EU Affairs Hans Dahlgren, the most important task is to move the EU’s agenda forward and deliver decisions that benefit EU citizens. Together with the Czech Republic and France, Sweden is already part of the presidency trio that is jointly ironing out the work programme for the coming 18 months. This programme was jointly presented by the three EU Member States at the General Affairs Council on 14 December.
