A Nordic home design exhibition curated by Wowdsgn, a Scandinavian style collective design brand in China, was opened at Design Shanghai 2018 on March 14. Mr Sebastian Magnusson, Deputy Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai, gave a speech at the opening event.
“The Nordic Home: Special Showcase of Sweden” displays a number of Nordic design products, including those from Swedish brands HEM, Aveva, Eva Schildt and Blankture. The opening event, co-organized by Wowdsgn and the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai, featured speeches by Mr Magnusson and representatives from Wowdsgn and Design Shanghai. The founder of Blankture Ms Jenny Schild, who came all the way from Sweden, also introduced her design and brand. Nearly 100 guests from design related businesses, Swedish companies and media attended the event.
2018 is the third consecutive year the Consulate participates in Design Shanghai. Besides the four brands taking part in the Nordic exhibition, a few other Swedish brands are represented at the fair, including Aritco, Bolon, Hans K and WallVision.
