The processing time for a Schengen visa application is normally 15 calendar days, the Consulate currently makes decisions within this time period. Please note however, that the counting does not start from when the application was submitted to VFS but from the day the application is received at the Consulate in Shanghai. In some cases, the processing time may be extended to 45 calendar days.
