Following the rapid growth of the global economy, there are increasing international concerns regarding energy supply and environmental impact. Heating is one of the most important parts of a city, where heating must be guaranteed while the impact on the environment must be minimized. A Swedish District Energy Roadshow was successfully held in Yantai on 18th Sep. and in Beijing on 19th Sep. 2019, showcasing the Swedish knowhow within district heating field.
As one of the concrete cooperation achievements, Swedish heat exchangers and heat transfer systems supplier SWEP and Chinese heating service provider ENCLEAN signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement in the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing on 20th Sep. 2019. The two companies will cooperate on developing the heating technical equipment and services towards a greener and more efficient level.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Swedish Ambassador to China, Helena Sångeland and Swedish counsellor for energy affairs, Magnus Carnwall. This strategic agreement is signed under the framework of relevant memorandums between ministries and administrations in the Kingdom of Sweden and the People’s Republic of China, i.e;
- Memorandum of Understanding on Energy cooperation
- Sweden – China Energy Cooperation Action Plan
- Memorandum of Understanding on Sustainable Urban Development Cooperation
