A selection of the activities arranged by/taking place at the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing this week.
This Week
11-15 November: Carin Jämtin, Director General of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, SIDA, and Johannes Oljelund, Director General for International Development Cooperation at the Swedish MFA will visit Beijing to take part in the CGD Development Leaders Conference and meetings with Chinese and international counterparts.
12 November: Salon about CSR development in China for past and future 10 years at the Residence in order to acknowledge 10 years of the Swedish Institute Management Programme (SIMP) in China.
13-15 November: Section for Science and Innovation will take part in EU Science & Technology Counsellor Tour in Hangzhou and Shenzhen to present Sweden’s innovation policy and cooperation with China.
17 November: Ambassador’s Office and Section for Science and Innovation host a kick-off event at the Residence for the EU-funded “4 Smart Growth” project, led by Swedish Incubators and Science Parks (SiSP), jointly with Finland and Estonia.
17 November: The Embassy will participate in the Sino Nordic Football Tournament arranged by the MFA.
Looking ahead
21 November: A conversation with artist Sophie Zelmani, Chen Hongyu and Yang Haisong about producing music in Sweden and China. Invited guests only.
25 November: “Where are all the mad Women? – A Herstory of Advertising” a seminar with Swedish Creative Director Christina Knight about gender equality in the advertising industry. Sign up here.
26 November: The International Conference on Gender Equality and Corporate Social Responsibility jointly arranged by UN Women, Embassy of Sweden and EU delegation. The conference aims to work as a platform for discussion and experience sharing. During the conference the WeEmpower Asia Programme in China will be launched.
