From 23 September to 6 October, the European Union (EU) together with its Member States celebrate Climate Diplomacy Week in Indonesia and around the world.
The objective of these Climate Diplomacy weeks is to highlight the inspiring role youth take in climate actions, while raising awareness about actors and projects. Next to the participation of our Member States, those weeks are further inspired by Indonesian civil society and private sector. These include talks by celebrities involved in the climate action, grassroots initiatives, workshops and dialogues.
The aim is to nurture new partnerships for a sustainable, climate-friendly future.
On this occassion, the Embassy of Sweden in Jakarta, in partnership with a local NGO Greeneration, hosted a Clean Up Day event in Bandung, followed by a discussion on How Smart Cities Can Help Tackle Climate Change. Around 50 people participated in the event.
