Please book a time slot for passport application: online-booking. Bring your filled out copy of Swedish Citizen – Form for passport applicant. All the information should be filled out before the visit. This is of utmost importance to avoid missing your booked time slot.
Do you have a coordination number (samordningsnummer)? According to current regulations, such numbers will automatically be declared inactive after five years if the Swedish Tax Agency has not received an application of renewal. This might extend the processing time for administrative procedures, such as passport applications. If this applies to you, we kindly recommend contacting the Swedish Tax Agency to inquire about the status of your coordination number before your visit to the Consulate General, as you might be required to bring additional documentation for your passport application.
All minors (people below the age of 18) need to be accompanied by at least one of their custodians for the visit as well as bringing the filled out forms Consent of Custodian and Swedish Citizen – Form for passport applicant. Please note that both forms need to be signed by both custodians.
It is also possible to renew your national ID card at the Consulate General.
