Do you want to strengthen cooperation for sustainable development in Guatemala?
Do you have experience in development cooperation related to fields such as trade, income and employment generation, private sector, and financial inclusion? Sweden’s embassy in Guatemala is now looking for a National Programme Officer (NPO) to be part of Sweden's development cooperation team based at the embassy in Guatemala City.
The embassy covers bilateral relations with Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panamá, and is responsible for bilateral development cooperation with Guatemala and for support to the regional development cooperation, managed by the Swedish embassy in Bogotá.
The Swedish government recently launched a reform agenda for the Swedish development cooperation, emphasizing the importance of connecting trade and cooperation. A new strategy for the Swedish development cooperation is expected to be developed during 2025.
The NPO will work within the cooperation team under the direct direction of the Head of Development Cooperation at the Embassy of Sweden in Guatemala.
The position is initially for a one-year period, starting 20 January 2025, with the possibility of prolongation.
