Sweden acknowledges Israel’s commitment to continue the work to fulfil its human rights obligations. The occurrence of settler violence, forced transfers and the use of administrative detention in the occupied territory are of concern.

Sweden would like to make the following recommendations:

1. Ensure accountability for violence perpetrated by settlers.
2. Ensure that no forced transfer of the Palestinian population is conducted in Area C.
3. Ensure that the use of administrative detention is limited to temporary and exceptional cases, and that international law is fully respected, in particular regarding minors held in administrative detention.
