UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29)

The 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC) is taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan 11-22 November.
Though it still represents a marginal portion of total energy output, solar energy still contributes to Sweden’s ambition to have zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 11–22 November, is an opportunity for Sweden to reinforce its role as a top donor in climate finance and a leader in sustainable innovation. Missions are encouraged to engage actively, working with Business Sweden at the Swedish pavilion to spotlight Sweden’s commitment to the green transition and effective climate aid.
