The Young Courage Award, organised by the Raoul Wallenberg Academy (RWA), honours people between the ages of 13 and 20 who have made a difference in the lives of their fellow human beings and shown evidence of moral courage and commitment.
The nomination process is simple. If you know a young person who fits the description above, we invite you to send their name and a short motivation to ambassaden.canberra-events@gov.se no later than Monday, 31 March 2025.
In addition to receiving official diplomas, the recipient will be invited to represent Australia at the official award ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden, on August 27, 2025, during Raoul Wallenberg Remembrance Day.

More about the Young Courage Award
This international award was created to commemorate the altruistic deeds carried out by the Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg in the final years of WWII. By issuing protective passports and creating safe houses, Wallenberg saved tens of thousands of Jews from the Holocaust. Read more about this World War II hero by clicking here.
