Questions about visiting Sweden

If you are visiting Sweden and are a citizen of a non-EU country, you may need a visa. A visa is a permit to travel to and stay in a country for a maximum of 90 days. If you intend to stay in Sweden for longer than 90 days you will need a visitors’ residence permit.

Can I visit Sweden while waiting for the residence permit?

Applicants are not prevented to go to Sweden, they could use the visa free regime (90 days during a 180 day period). But it is suggested that once they are in Sweden they inform the migration authorities about their stay there, so that the decision is not brought during the time they are in Sweden. Please note that it is always up to the border police if an applicant will be allowed to enter Schengen.

What is required to obtain a Tourist Visa?

Albanian citizens holding a biometric passport are able to travel freely to Schengen Countries. Use the visa free regime (90 days during a 180 day period).
