The Embassy of Sweden in Ankara is recruiting a cashier/administrative assistant

The Embassy is recruiting a cashier/administrative assistant that will be responsible for business administration, bookkeeping and security matters. The position is part of the administrative section and will work closely with and report to the Head of Administration.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Administration in business administration, administration, and security matters
- Personnel administration (including salary reporting) for locally hired staff.
- Administer all personnel related tasks including leave days, contracts, duty travel and health insurance.
- Operate bookkeeping of the Embassy's revenue and expenditure, management of the Embassy's invoices and other financial administration.
- Assist in the Embassy's budget work, development of forecasts, budgets etc.
- Responsible for Embassy cash funds.
- Being able to contribute to the Embassy anti-corruption work and develop working routines and anti-corruption workplans in the administrative section
- Be part of the procurement team and contribute to procurement processes
- Assist responsible person in security related matters
- When necessary, assist with other tasks in the Embassy
Main Qualifications:
- Academic degree within finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent
- Minimum two years of work experience within accounting and personnel administration
- Organized, with the ability to work independently and responsible for keeping track of various transactions at any given time
- Strong administrative skills
- Responsible and flexible person with a good judgment
- Fluent in English and Turkish in speech and writing.
- Strong communication skills and able to work in a multicultural environment
Added advantage
- Relevant higher education
- Fluent in Swedish in speech and writing
Salary & terms and conditions
This is a vacancy with a full-time work schedule with 39,75 working hours per week from Monday to Friday. All applicants under consideration will be subject to a professional background check and will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
Staff recruited locally are subject to terms and conditions according to Turkish employment law and Swedish MFA guidelines for local staff. Salary is set on an individual basis.
