The Embassy of Sweden in Ankara is recruiting a driver/administrative assistant

The Embassy’s Administrative and Consular team is responsible for administrative and consular matters including economy, archive, security, property management and operational support. We are now looking for an experienced and flexible driver to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing professional and secure transportation services for Embassy staff and visitors.  

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing transportation of Embassy staff members and official visitors (Including regional trips).
  • Keeping vehicles clean and taking responsibility for all vehicle-related work, including mileage records, itinerary, servicing, maintenance, and insurances.
  • Delivering official mail, including couriers to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, goods, invitations et cetera.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks.
  • The position requires flexibility to perform ad hoc duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Impeccable driving record with valid and clean driving license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional driver.
  • Experience from working in an administrative role.
  • Very good geographical knowledge of Ankara.
  • Well organized and able to work independently and keep track of many tasks at the same time.
  • Flexibility and readiness to work irregular hours, sometimes during office hours, sometimes during evenings or weekends.
  • Good customer service and communication skills for dealing with people at all levels.
  • Experience from working with purchases with responsibility of petty cash.
  • Good command of English, both oral and written will be considered an asset.

 

 

Salary & terms and conditions:

Full time position with 45 hours working week. All applicants under consideration will be subject to a professional background check and will be required to pass medical and security certifications. Only applicants already residing in Türkiye will be considered for this position.  A probation period will apply.

Staff recruited locally by the Embassy of Sweden are subject to terms and conditions according to Turkish employment law and the Swedish MFA guidelines for locally employed staff. Salary is set on an individual basis.
