政府の外交政策の優先事項をまとめた声明には、重要事項がいくつか含まれていますが、とりわけ下記のものが挙げられます：

「今年の外交政策声明は、安全保障が厳しいとされる時にに発表されました。私たち、つまりスウェーデン、EU、NATOは、ロシアとの長期的かつ遠大な対立の真っ只中にいます。ウクライナ戦争の結果にかかわらず、ロシアはヨーロッパの安全保障に深刻な脅威を与え続けるでしょう。私たちはウクライナを支援しつつ、ロシアからの危害に対抗しなければなりません」とステーネルガルド外相は述べました。

Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
