Information for permit applicants who have received a request by the Swedish Migration Agency to contact the Embassy regarding passport control.
At the end of May 2024, the Swedish Migration Agency launched a pilot for digital passport check. The new e-service will simplify the application process for students and workers from 22 visa-exempt countries and territories.
For those who are not eligible for the digital passport check and/or need to submit biometrics, the Embassy of Sweden in Ottawa offers drop-in sessions (no appointments) between 1.00 - 2.00 pm on the following dates:
February 21, 24
March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
Please bring your passport and control number.
You can only attend a drop-in session if you have received a request from the Migration Agency to come for a passport control.
