Embassy of Sweden in Hanoi and the Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City are open but due to the latest Covid-19 outbreak, we limit the number of applicants and customers enter the Embassy/Consulate. We are only able to admit individuals who have scheduled appointments.

The Embassy is subject to follow recommendations and regulations of the Vietnamese authorities on rules and restrictions applied for outbreak areas. Updated information on outbreak areas in Vietnam is available here https://ncov.moh.gov.vn/ (in Vietnamese only).

Individuals with recent travel history or especially travel from locations the Vietnamese government has designated or determined to be an “outbreak area”, may be subject to mandatory Covid-19 testing, quarantine, and lockdowns, sometimes with little or no advance notice when entering other provinces/cities. In Vietnam, rules and restrictions can be various region by region. Please check with CDC of the province/city where you live before traveling to the Embassy/Consulate.

To make an appointment regarding residence/work permit interview, application submission please send email to visa.hanoi@gov.se . Priority will be given to customers who have recently had interview appointment cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Please be aware that the Embassy/Consulate may proactively postpone appointments or limit the visits of customers coming from outbreak regions in the interest of safety.

The standard precautions of mask use, hand hygiene, and social distancing remain in effect within the embassy and the consulate general.

In addition, if you are not feeling well, please do not enter Embassy or Consulate facilities.
