The Consulate General will open in early January 2024 at a different location in San Francisco's Financial district. During the fall of 2023, staff is present to work with the establishment.
During the establishment phase, people in need of consular support are still referred to the Embassy of Sweden in Washington, DC and the Honorary Consulate of Sweden in San Francisco.

Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
