With the formulation of the light quantum hypothesis in 1905, Einstein advanced the development of quantum theory in a decisive way. Today, modern quantum technology determines much of our everyday life. The symposium will highlight the technological impact and current state of quantum optics achieved since Einstein's work.
In April, the Cinématte in Bern will focus on Northern Europe and its filmmaking of the last few years. Films from Denmark, England/ Scotland, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, and Sweden will be shown. The Swedish film on the program is Ruben Östlund’s “The Square”.
