The Swedish community celebrates National Day on June 6

On June 6 the Swedish community in Singapore celebrated the National Day. This year the festivities were held at “W” Hotel on Sentosa. An amazing buffet of Swedish delicacies was provided, complete with pickled herring, salmon, meatballs and the like. The choir “the Swedish Ensemble” performed summer classics and the Ambassador delivered a speech. Two Swedish musicians, brought in for the occasion, Ms Kristina Ebbersten on violin and Ms Christina Wirdegren-Ahlin, also performed a number of traditional folk songs. The kids were treated to a movie screening, “fish dip” and a quiz with great prices!
