Gender equality is no longer seen as a women’s issue only, it is an issue for both women and men and Sweden welcomes and promotes men’s work for gender equality.
Sweden promote and support involvement of men and boys but we also want to know more about gender gaps and contribute to better understanding of genders through supporting surveys and research activities. A research “IMAGES Serbia: Men in Serbia; chances, resistances and challenges” was conducted with our funding and presented at this year’s conference “MAN 2018” held on May 17, 2018.
IMAGES Serbia was implemented as part of the project “Integrated Response to Violence against Women and Girls” – a three-year project funded by Sweden and implemented by a group of UN agencies lead by UNDP. Total budget for the project is 15 579 760 SEK.
