We are hiring a Social Secretary

This is a full-time position at the workplace with starting date 1 June 2025.

Working tasks include responsibility for the Ambassador’s calendar, contacts with the Protocol Department at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contacts with Dutch and Swedish authorities and organizations. You will also be responsible for sending-out invitations and coordinating Embassy events together with staff at the Ambassador’s residence. 

We are looking for a person who is well-organized, accurate, independent and flexible. Working languages of the Embassy are Swedish, English and Dutch. Fluency in English is necessary. Knowledge in Dutch and Swedish is a merit but not required.

There will be a 6 months’ probationary period. We apply individual salary and the salary is paid in Euro. You must be insured in the Dutch General Health Care system. An individual security clearance interview will be conducted before employment. For Swedish citizens a registry control is made before the employment start. For Dutch citizens a VOG (certificate of conduct - Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag) is required as soon as possible in the recruitment process.
