It has been 50 years since Visconti's "Death in Venice" had its world premiere and the director named his Tadzio "the most beautiful boy in the world". The film's shadow still hangs heavy over Björn Andrésen, whose life became an unlikely journey through radiant light and bottomless darkness. In short, a fascinating life story that is unlike anything else.
On April 13th, the movie will be screened for the first time in The Netherlands.
For this avant-premiere, organised by Amstelfilm, EYE and the Swedish Embassy jointly, Björn Andrésen will come to the Netherlands and the directors Kristina Lindström and Kristian Petri will participate via zoom. After the screening there will be a Q&A, led by Dana Linssen, NRC.
The screening is opened by Ambassador Oljelund at about 19:00 and takes place at EYE Amsterdam. Find out more about the movie and how to get to EYE: link to EYE Film, Amsterdam.
If you are interested in this award-winning documentary, we have a few tickets to give away. Mail to Haag.invit@gov.se. The winners will get noticed via mail on Friday April 8.
