Dip cracker, Huså Bread
Huså is a genuine mountain village that is beautifully located between Åreskutan and Kallsjön, far in the North of Sweden. In the 18th century, copper deposits were made at the foot of the mountains. Huså became the center of copper mining and the largest industrial town of middle-Norrland. After 150 years, the copper era at Åreskutan ended. But still the river Huså brings water from the mountains through the village, allowing the grains to profit from the minerals.
Huså Bread makes crackers and low-carbohydrate seed biscuits in a farm bakery with generations of food crafts in the walls. They combine traditional grains such as barley and rye, with an eye for what modern people want. Their craft is based on ecological and small-scale principles and Markus Forsberg and team hope to inspire a societal development that provides the opportunity to live and work throughout Sweden.
Use the Huså dip crackers as spoon for hummus, tapenade or dip sauce, as snacks, on a buffet or for cheese platters. With cumin for the sake of good taste. Also goes well together with smoked and grilled meat, smoked and pickled fish, garlic, dipping sauces, cheese in various shapes and layers.
