Accept all Only criticalThe Embassy regularly invites Swedish businesses to a business breakfast to exchange views and opinions on the business climate and business opportunities in Mozambique. This time the breakfast was held on Wednesday, 28 February, at the Swedish Residence in Maputo. Twelve Swedish companies attended the event.
The Ambassador introduced the event with an overview of the political situation in Mozambique and the position of Swedish companies in terms of trade in Africa. The Ambassador also spoke about collaboration and synergies between the Embassy and the companies in order to increase business and trade between Mozambique and Sweden.
The Senior Economist at World Bank, Shireen Mahdi briefed the attendees on Mozambique’s macro-economic and fiscal situation and outlook for 2018. Afterwards, followed a discussion on the business climate in the country, and the opportunities and challenges to trade and to do business in the Mozambican market.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
