H.E. Ms. Maria Sargren, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, presented her credentials to His Majesty King Abdullah II during an official ceremony at Basman Palace on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
NEWSThe Embassy of Sweden cooperates with VFS Global. You can submit the application and also obtain the decision from VFS Global. See the website of VFS for the address, opening hours and other information: Link to VFS Global
The processing time is typically 14 days. Make sure to prepare all required documents before you visit VFS. For more information, go to "Applying
for a visa".
If you have provided biometrics, it takes approximately 4 weeks from the decision to produce and deliver the UT card to the Embassy. Unfortunately there is no way to expedite this process. You should normally collect your residence permit card from the embassy where you took photographs and fingerprints.
If you are unable to collect it there you can send an e-mail to the embassy and request them to send the UT card to another embassy or to the Swedish Migration Agency in Sweden where a relative who has a power of attorney can collect it.
Please note that residence permit cards are not sent by regular mail and changing where you want to pick it up will delay the delivery with up to three weeks.
If you have submitted an online application for a residence permit, you should schedule an appointment after the Swedish Migration Agency has asked you to do so.
It is important that you state the control or case number and personal details of all family members that are applying. Use the form here to book an appointment: "Book an appointment".

If you already have an interview booked at another mission it will be cancelled when you book an interview at the Embassy of Sweden in Amman.
