On June 4th, Johanna Lindquist, Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo, participated in an event jointly organized by Baseload Power Japan Inc. and the Global Management Programme of the School of Commerce at Waseda University, focusing on the development of geothermal energy.
Johanna Lindquist, Minister Counsellor / Deputy Head of Mission from the Swedish Embassy, served as the event’s esteemed keynote speaker, sharing Sweden’s experience in fossil-free transformation and sustainable energy policy. “Sweden's early decarbonization efforts led to stronger economic growth,” she told attendees. “Sustainability gives business competitive advantage and is a long-term win-win for all parties involved. It’s important for all parts of society to work together.”
