On July 12th, H.E. Pereric Högberg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Japan, was awarded the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun in recognition of his outstanding work to promote the bilateral relations between Japan and Sweden.
Ambassador Högberg arrived in Japan in September 2019, and his five-year term of office will end next month.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
