The signing ceremony took place at the University of Tokyo in the presence of Ambassador Viktoria Li and researchers from the two universities, and concluded with a presentation on how their collaboration started and has continued for the last 20 years. The event was a fitting tribute to a partnership that has stood the test of time and continues to thrive, promising even greater accomplishments in the years to come.
The purpose of this agreement is to prolong the cooperation in research, exchange of students and researchers but also exchange of academic information and materials, and the extension reflects the shared dedication of the two universities to drive scientific progress through sustained collaboration.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
