An organization or body planning a project or event with clear connection to Sweden in Japan apply for the nominal support of the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo. Please read the following and send an application by e-mail with the required documents.
1. Period for Application
Please send the application no later than one month prior to the date on which you wish to receive our nominal support. Last-minute applications or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
2. Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit an application form in both in English and Japanese. Please download the Nominal Support Document from this page, fill it out and send it to ambassaden.tokyo@gov.se
The e-mail subject should contain “Nominal Support” followed by your event name.
Other documents that you may wish to submit (such as brochures or other information materials) can be attached to the e-mail as long as they do not exceed 3MB. Attachments that are too large should be sent by regular post the below address.
3. How to display Nominal Support
Use of Nominal Support is strictly limited to the typed out Embassy name. In other words, “スウェーデン大使館” in Japanese or “Embassy of Sweden” in English. Please note that you may not use the Embassy logo, unless this has been explicitly agreed by the Embassy.
4. Cases in which Nominal Support will not be granted
- Projects offensive to public order
- In cases of previous unauthorized use of our Embassy name
