The guest appearance by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is part of the anniversary celebrating 150 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Japan. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra appears under the leadership of Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo, presenting three concerts with three different programs during three days.
The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1902 and presents more than 100 concerts a year at Konserthuset Stockholm. The orchestra participates in the festivities associated with the Nobel Prize Award Ceremony and tours regularly in Europe and the rest of the world. Its recordings have been celebrated internationally.
