Accept all Only criticalHer Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden will visit Karuizawa between 3 and 4 September to attend the third Keystone Dialogue between leading actors in business and science in the global seafood system.
The ambition is to lead a global transformation towards sustainable seafood production and a healthy ocean. The initiative will contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and in particular Goal 14 – Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources.
Crown Princess Victoria has been engaged in the Keystone Dialogue from the start. She has actively participated in dialogue meetings in both the Maldives and Stockholm. The Crown Princess is one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Advocates. Their task is to promote the SDGs. The Crown Princess focuses her work especially on sustainability, oceans- and fisheries issues.
Japanese companies are actively participating in the Keystone Dialogue. They are Maruha Nichiro and Nippon Suisan Kaisha, the two largest seafood companies in the world, and Kyokuyo. Through its subsidiary Cermaq, Mitsubishi Corporation is also involved. Other participating companies are Thai Union Group, Dongwon Industries, Marine Harvest ASA, Skretting, Cargill Aqua Nutrition and Charoen Pokphand Foods. The dialogue is supported by scientists at the Stockholm Resilience Center.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
