There are currently many requests for the renewal of Swedish passports.
The Embassy has a limited capacity to receive applications. NB, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Stockholm advises Swedes not to travel to many provinces in Iraq.

Regardless of whether you live in Sweden or Iraq, you can apply for a passport/id-card and ask to have it sent to Iraq for collection. More information here.
