On Sunday 9 September, there will be an election in Sweden to the Riksdag, municipalities and county councils.
When the polling stations have closed on election day, election workers carry out a preliminary count of the votes cast.
Beginning at 20.00 (GMT +2), preliminary results will be published on the Election Authority’s website: https://data.val.se/val/val2018/valnatt/R/rike/index.html
The count is finalised the following week by the county administrative boards. The first possible date for a Statement of Government Policy if the current Government remains in office is 25 September. The first possible date for a Statement of Government Policy if there is a new Government is 28 September.
