Vacancy announcement – Driver

The Embassy of Sweden in Tehran is looking for an Embassy Driver to provide professional and secure transportation to our Diplomats and high-level visitors.

Working closely with fellow Drivers and Admin staff, the applicant must have strong communication skills, and work well under pressure of time constraints.

Flexibility and confidentiality are essential.

The candidates are required to pass a written and practical test which will be provided by the Embassy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Providing transportation to Embassy diplomats
• Delivering official mail including couriers to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Keeping the vehicle clean and serviceable in line with Embassy’s transport policy and manufacturer’s manual
• Keeping an accurate record of all journeys in a vehicle logbook
• Compliance with Embassy’s transport policy
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Impeccable driving record with a valid and neat driving license
• Working experience as driver for diplomats, embassies, or foreign organizations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional early morning, late evenings, and   weekends
• Good knowledge of English and Farsi
• Superior navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes
• Documented knowledge about first aid is desired
• Good customer service and communication skills, dealing with people at all levels

 

Type of Position:

Full-time, One-year temporary contract with possibility of renewal

Working hours per week is variable
