The embassy of Sweden in Tehran does not award grants or provide any other kind of financial support for external activities, cultural or otherwise.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of some Swedish government institutions that award grants or provide other forms of financial support for cultural activities or projects. Please consult their websites for more information and for any related questions please contact them directly.
The Swedish Arts Grants Committee (Konstnärsnämnden) allocates grants to individual artists, including travel grants, working scholarships, long-term fellowships, project grants and international residencies.
The Swedish Arts Council (Statens Kulturråd) allocates grants to organisations, groups and municipalities, including grants for translation of Swedish literature.
The Swedish Film Institute (Svenska Filminstitutet) allocates funding for the production of Swedish films, and for the distribution and screening of films. Film distributors outside of Sweden can apply for a grant to distribute Swedish films.
The Swedish Institute (Svenska institutet) administers funding for exhibitions, projects, leadership programmes, scholarships, in close contact with Swedish and foreign partners. Some funds can be applied for by individuals.
