Vacancy: Trade Promotion Officer

Your tasks:

• Strategically plan and coordinate the Consulate’s trade promotion, including but not limited to delegations, exhibitions, receptions and other forms of events
• Establish networks and collaborations with counterpart trade promotion organisations in Hong Kong
• Manage and curate content for the Consulate’s social media accounts
• Act as the backup cashier when needed
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as requested

Essential qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields, with an interest in communication
• At least two years of work experience in a relevant role
• Extensive knowledge and interest on the Hong Kong business landscape
• Experience and ability to manage external government, business and other contacts in a positive and efficient manner
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English, Cantonese and preferably also in Mandarin
• Strong team player approach with good interpersonal and cooperation skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle duties in a structured and efficient way
• Willingness and ability to adapt to a different cultural environment
• Ability to work independently and proactively

Good to have:

• Experience with bookkeeping/accounting
• Experience in studying or working in a Nordic context
• Experience in working with sustainability
