Vacancy: Trade Promotion Officer

The Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong is recruiting a multi-talented, creative and outgoing person to join the Consulate team as a full-time Trade Promotion Officer, a newly created position.
Your tasks:
- Strategically plan and coordinate the Consulate’s trade promotion, including but not limited to delegations, exhibitions, receptions and other forms of events
- Establish networks and collaborations with counterpart trade promotion organisations in Hong Kong
- Manage and curate content for the Consulate’s social media accounts
- Act as the backup cashier when needed
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as requested
Essential qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields, with an interest in communication
- At least two years of work experience in a relevant role
- Extensive knowledge and interest on the Hong Kong business landscape
- Experience and ability to manage external government, business and other contacts in a positive and efficient manner
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English, Cantonese and preferably also in Mandarin
- Strong team player approach with good interpersonal and cooperation skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle duties in a structured and efficient way
- Willingness and ability to adapt to a different cultural environment
- Ability to work independently and proactively
Good to have:
- Experience with bookkeeping/accounting
- Experience in studying or working in a Nordic context
- Experience in working with sustainability
