Logo design competition for the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Sweden and China

Whether you are a professional designer or an enthusiast, you are all welcome to participate. Maybe you will create the logo that best reflects the long relationship between the two countries.

Requirements:

1. The logo must be original designed. AI works are not acceptable.
2. The logo should highlight the 75th anniversary. There could be Swedish and Chinese elements, the numbers “75”, ”75th anniversary” etc.
3. The logo should be clear and good-looking on both dark and light background as well as in big and small formats.

Submission method:

1. Please submit your logo to events.beijing@gov.se before 13 October 2024.
2. The logo should be saved as a vector-based eps.
3. Please attach a text describing the idea behind the logo of no more than 200 words to your email. Other related designs or videos are also welcome. For heavy files or videos, please send a download link instead of attachment.
4. The title of the email should be in the form of ”75-year Anniversary Logo - your name”. Please provide your basic information in the email, including name, age, nationality, and contact info.

Deadline: All works must be submitted before 24:00 on 13 October 2024

How we select:

• The first stage of selection will be conducted by a jury consisting of representatives from the Swedish Consulates in Shanghai and Hong Kong, Visit Sweden, and the Swedish Embassy in Beijing.
• The second stage will be a public vote on the WeChat-account of the Swedish Embassy in Beijing in late October.
• The winning logo will be announced on the Embassy’s WeChat- and Weibo-accounts on 1 November.

Awards:

• First Prize: A tour of Swedish footprints in Beijing with the Ambassador, and a top Swedish gift package. Invitation to Swedish Winter and National day celebrations at the Swedish Embassy in 2024 and 2025.
  The winning logo will be used during the 75th anniversary.
• Second to Fifth Prize: Different Swedish gift packages designed based on rankings. Invitation to Swedish Winter at the Swedish Embassy.

The works of the five winners will all be displayed, introduced, and spread on the Embassy’s and jury members’ official Weibo and WeChat accounts.

Copyright Statement:

• All works submitted must be original designed. If there’s any dispute with other individuals or institutions due to copyright issues, the designer must take the responsibility.
• Once submitted, the works can’t be submitted to other competitions or be used in other settings.
• The winning logo’s copyright belongs to the Embassy of Sweden, and the Embassy has the right to modify and use the logo for promotional purpose.

The winning work will become the prototype for the 75th anniversary logo, to be used in various events throughout 2025, on different forms of promotional materials, social media, and other channels.
