Artist: Harald Lindberg (1901-1976)

   

Harald Lindberg (1901-1976) was a Swedish painter, graphic artist and draughtsman. As a young man, he spent several years at sea, which influenced and influenced his artwork. Sea, coast and shipping are the main characteristics of Lingberg's painting. He was also highly regarded as a portrait painter.

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and spent some time at the Maison Watteau in Paris. Harald Lindberg made several study trips abroad. His art has a sincere freshness, with expressive brushstrokes running across the canvases. Harald Lindberg received many public commissions during his career as an artist and he has also worked as a book illustrator - for example, he illustrated August Strindberg's "Hemsöborna" in 1949.
