On February 4, car manufacturer Volvo Cars and battery manufacturer Northvolt announced that an additional battery manufacturing plant will be established in Sweden. The investment is expected to amount to SEK 30 billion and create 3 000 new jobs.

More and more companies are investing in sustainable production of lithium-ion batteries in Sweden, partnering with Swedish companies who are pioneers in electric mobility, hydropower, and clean energy.
