Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic several countries, including China, have introduced restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus. There is a risk of delay in the transport from Sweden of new passports to our applicants. Swedish citizens are therefore encouraged to hand in passport applications at an early stage as the normal time of delivery of 2–3 weeks may be exceeded.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
