On October 19 the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai together with the Consulates General of Denmark and Norway inaugurated the exhibition Born to Be Wild - Biodiversity Through Lenses at the Duoyun Books Flagship Store in Shanghai Tower.

The exhibition consists of photos by three award-winning Nordic wildlife photographers Staffan Widstrand, Audun Rikardsen and Mogens Trolle. The exhibition has been touring China since the COP15 Biodiversity Conference in Kunming in 2021.

The Swedish photographer Staffan Widstrand has been called one of the world's “Most influential nature photographers” by Outdoor Photography Magazine and he has met international recognition as “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” in several countries and won the prestigious ”GDT European Nature Photographer of the Year” five times. Most of Staffan’s work highlights the joy of our natural heritage and seeks to inspire wide audiences to love nature, and thereby better protect and take care of it.

Consul General of Sweden Marie-Claire Swärd Capra participated in the inauguration of the exhibition and delivered opening remarks. Around 60 people attended the event. An online interaction with Staffan Widstrand was held at the Duoyun Books Flagship Store in the evening of October 19, attended by around 45 people.

The exhibition is open to the public at the Duoyun Books Flagship Store in Shanghai Tower until November 4.
