On 17 October 2021, the Nordic Center at Fudan University celebrated its 25th Anniversary at an event hosted by Fudan University Vice President, Mr. Chen Zhimin. Sweden was represented by Consul-General Marie-Claire Swärd Capra. Dr. Erik Forsberg, Representative in China and APAC of the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) also participated.
Founded in 1995, the Nordic Centre is a collaboration between 29 academic institutions in the Nordic countries, and is located at Fudan University in Shanghai. In its multidisciplinary approach, the Fudan Nordic Centre drives and facilitates collaboration between researchers and students and it has served as a vehicle for research and education within all kinds of disciplines since 1995.
Member universities in Sweden include the universities of Lund and Uppsala, Gothenburg university, Södertörn college, Stockholm university, and Umeå university. Professor Per Cramér, Dean at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the university of Gothenburg, is currently chairing the Fudan Nordic Centre Board and Council.
